About SSBES

The Saudi Society of Breast and Endocrine Surgery (SSBES) is a health scientific society in the field of Breast and Endocrine Surgery established on 2021 under the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and its headquarter is in Riyadh

Vision.

 

To be the leading scientific and national reference for Breast and Endocrine Surgery by promoting community health care and providing academic culture of excellence for practitioners of this field.

Mission.

 

  • Developing the scientific, professional, and ethical performance of practitioners and specialists in the field of breast and endocrine surgery.
  • Support the application of best evidence based practice and provide up to date standards for breast and endocrine surgical practice.
  • Enhance the community health care and raising the level of health awareness
  • Encouraging, supporting, and contributing to scientific researches.
  • Offers opinions to health authorities and consultations for publics.

Goals.

The Saudi Society for Breast and Endocrine Surgery aims to achieve the following:

  • Providing the opportunity for practitioners in breast and endocrine surgery to contribute in the scientific and professional progress of this field and related fields
  • Developing the surgical skills and professional scientific thought of the members of the society.
  • Facilitating the exchange of scientific publication, scientific and professional ideas as well as conducted studies in the field of breast and endocrine surgery with concerned institutions and associations inside and outside the Kingdom.
  • Providing counselling to various health authorities regarding health practices, activities and procedures.
  • Participation in the evaluation of professional academic qualifications and professional performance of practitioners in the field of breast and endocrine surgery.
  • Actively support Saudi Commission for Health Specialties departments and provide supportive service to health practitioners.
  • Achieving the above objectives through the following activities:

o Preparing and updating standards practice guidelines.

o Holding conferences, seminars and workshops, and contributing to training programs and continuing medical education

o Inviting the relevant scholars at the national and international levels to participate in the association’s activities.

o Participation in local and international conferences and exhibitions.

o Conducting scientific research in the fields of interest of the society and related knowledge, encouraging its conduct and publishing the results.

o Issuing a periodical journal to publish research and studies related to the society’s areas of interest.

o Implementation of various health awareness activities
